Insurance
Breathe Easy Contracting, LLC carries $2,000,000 in liability coverage. There is a limtitation on each occurance to $1,000,000. We also carry $500K in worker's compensation insurance. In addition, each one of our sub-contractors is required to provide proof of liability and workman's compensation. Proof of insurance can be provided to the homeowner at the start of the project. This means that should our insurance lapse during construction, you would be notified by mail. Our insurance is also carried on a "per occurence" basis. This means that your project is covered regardless our company's status...even ten years from now. All of our subcontractors have insurance and are required to submit proof to our company of that insurance including workman's compensation where applicable. "I initially contacted Breathe Easy to solicit a bid for a sunroom / family room addition. At the time I was also looking to have my driveway paved, but I had not thought of calling a GC to do the driveway - I was dealing with paving contractors directly. Chris responded promptly to my inquiry, his communication was excellent and thorough. So many contractors in general seem to have alackadaisical attitude regarding coming to your home and submitting a bid, that Mr. Garner's enthusiasm was refreshing. While I have not yet completed contractor screening for the addition project, I have had the driveway paved, via his subcontractor. The work was completed on-time and neatly without issues. His pricing was fair when you eliminate the low-ball bids by shady "fly-by-night" outfits that would do shotty work and disappear. The bitterness of poor quality will remain long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten."
